A fellow batch-mate who went to school with pakdokter in STAR Ipoh in 1964 was on a holiday trip to KL. Sulaiman Latip was one of the six students from Brunai who joined STAR in 1964. He shared the same dormitory with pakdokter for the duration of his years in school. A few of pakdokter's batchmates met up with Sulaiman at the Teh Tarik Corner of Sooka Sentral.
