The RSGC Sunday Buayas in Jakarta - Day 1 @ Royale Jakarta

The RSGC Sunday Buayas guys made the first trip to Jakarta early this month. The original group of 2 flights was reduced to 5 golfers only as some of them could not get out of their work commitments. Pakdokter rounded up pakRais Mansor and pakAminNikmat from the KGSAAS Warriors to complement the 2 flights while Staroban pakRosliKhan joined us from Jakarta.

PakAminNikmat, due to an emegency at home, could only come in late on the first day, and as pakRosliKhan was only coming back from a business trip to KL late that same day, our first day game at the Royale Jakarta had to be played in flights of 3 golfers. That increased our golf fees to about 750,000 rupiahs each instead of the original price of 500,000 rupiahs.

Pakdokter played with pakRedza and pakTgFarith while pakRaisMansor looked after pakZulfikar and pakSyedHazrain. PakRedza got his 'revenge' after an embarassing defeat to pakdokter at the last game at the Bumi Serpong Damai Course on the last day of our first trip here last year. And, pakTgFarith, who has been in good form lately, also managed to earn a small sponsorship from pakdokter.

Pakdokter had not played at this Royale Jakarta course for some time and remembered it to be long and tough. And it was true to pakdokter's expectation. The younger and stronger golfers in pakdokter's flight played to their advantage.

On the other flight, the more senior but 'smaller' pakRais, gave the younger and stronger golfers a fright of their lives. They were lucky to have limited their 'damage' from this 'little' golfer....

PakTgFarith took the day's total prize money and paid off our dinner at the club.
