As practiced in the 1st Koba Invitational in Jakarta last month - the two Captains sat down to take turns to auction their players so that the pairing for the third day individual match-play could be determined. This was an important stage - each Captain will pick one of his players to play against the player being auctioned off by the opposing Captain - and the selection was based on how the Captain rated his player's chance of beating the opponent. So the player's performance over the 2 days will be seriously studied. Each Captain was allowed to have assistants to advise in the selection of the players. At the same time, when a player was being auctioned, an option was also given if an opposing player wanted to buy him for a fee of 100,000 rupiah.
This was what pakdokter did - when Mesha's name came for auction - pakdokter paid 100,000 rupiah to buy him as pakdokter wanted to make up for last months defeat which only happened at the last hole
Below were some of the recordings of the "auction' as it took place.....
