The Staroba Golf Club had originally planned its Bandung Golf Tour for these dates but due to inadequate response the planned tournament had to be aborted. In came Koba Tin of Indonesia who offered to host the 2nd Staroba-Koba Tin Invitational at the same city except that all the three games were to be played at the Giri Gahana Golf Resort.
The attractive package and generous prizes managed to attract a team of 20 golfers to play against Koba Tin's 20.
We were housed at the Giri Gahana resort itself - a 5-star luxurious resort perched on the hilltop overlooking the golf course and the city of Bandung. Being on a higher elevation above sea level, it was a pleasant cool weather which made the golfing great.

The total prize money for the 2nd Staroba-Koba Tin Invitational was again 150 million rupiah. 100 million rupiah was alocated for the team competition - the winning team will take 80 million rupiah and the losing team to share the 20 million rupiah. Another 50 million rupiah was allocated for the top 5 winners of each day.
