Pakdokter's Game...

The first day game was played on the 4-ball best ball partnership format. Five pairs teed off after lunch at hole No 10. The remaining 5 flights had to tee-off later as the Staroba players arrived on Airasia at about 11 am that morning.

pakdokter, pakMesha, Tg Azman and pakKamal..

Pakdokter partnered Tg Azman and played against Mesha and pakKamal. Both pakdokter and Tg Azman played to a handicap of 24 whereas Mesha played to 29 and pakKamal played to 22.

Actually pakdokter had played against these two players from Koba last month on the final day. pakKamal lost to Yuzer Yusof in the matchplay whereas pakdokter gave Mesha a good fight and only lost at the last hole. So this match was a welcome repeat.

It was an honour for pakdokter to now be giving strokes to pakdokter's opponent. This has never probably happened before. And pakdokter was hoping for Tg Azman to deliver the goods.

Unfortunately the overenthusiastic Tg Azman had gone to the driving range that morning and hit 200 balls! And that must have affected his game.

We started at the 10th hole and after squaring at the first - pakKamal consecutive 3 pars put us at 3 down by the 5th hole but luckily pakdokter managed to salvage a few holes so that we finished the 1st Nine at 3 down only.

Tg Azman finally came back in the 2nd Nine and helped our pair to claw back at the game and to finally come home with a win with a score of 2 up with 1 to go.
