The Royal Bangkok Sports Club Golf Team played in the return match of the annual interport series at the RSGC this weekend. Their smaller than usual contingent of 40 ( previously their full complement of 60 would come to this game ) golfers was made up of younger but definitely stronger players who gave the home team a good fight for both the Erawan and Seladang Cups Competition.
Their team for the Erawan Cup led comfortably against the RSGC counterpart whereas RSGC led the Bangkok team 17-15 in the Seladang Cup.
Pakdokter(24) partnered Tg Muzafar(21) against Mr Decha (24) and Mr Kriangsek (24) in the 4-ball-better-ball matchplay team event for the Seladang Cup. Both Mr Decha and Mr Kriangsek were in their 70's and we outplayed our senior golfers quite easily especially so with Tg Muzafar still in form after his recent victory in the Tom Morris Competition. We beat our Thai counterparts 5/4 ( 5 up with 4 to go) and spent the rest of the evening enjoying a few jugs of 'Tiger" beer at the lounge.
Mr Decha told pakdokter that he wanted a different caddy for Sunday morning because he found that his caddy that afternoon often gave him wrong distances and lines. Pakdokter told him that he had been 'paid' by pakdokter beore the game...............
Decha drank to pakdokter for that "confession" and we all had a good laugh.....!
