it was a lovely restaurant and is one of the popular tourist stops....
the broth was of beef soup in tomato puree
with lots of herbs quite similar to the 'harira'
a soup common in Morocco and North Africa...
and lots of chopped carrots, onions and celery....
with mash potato and broccoli....
After lunch we spent about an hour at the concierge planning our week stay at this beautiful ''city of culture". There are so many operas, musical concerts, jazz clubs, marrionette puppet shows, black light theatre and out of city outings to choose from. We managed to secure tickets for the opera Carmen at the National Theatre on Satruday and another opera 'Aida ' on Tuesday at the State Opera Theatre. For Wednesday we booked the ballet "Swan Lake" at the Hibernia Theatre. For Sunday we would see the black light theatre show "Aspects of Alice " at the Fantastika Theatre. The only other city where pakdokter had seen a similar theatre was in Hanoi in Vietnam. For Monday we got a table for a dinner and jazz performance at the J Konicek Jazz and Blues Club and for Tuesday we would go out to a day-trip out into the country to visit some castles and churches at the UNESCO Heritage town of Kutna Hora. We had wanted to visit Cesky Kremlov again where we had stopped briefly 10 years ago but unfortunately this Unesco Heritage site is closed during winter.
