Although Raena had been to Harajuku a few days earlier, she felt she did not have much time to browse through the many shops there retailing trendy youthful fashion. As we had a dinner booked only at 730pm we could spare a few hours in the late afternoon to re-visit Harajuku. The place was no longer quiet as a few days ago, the crowd there was as bad as at Asakusa. Tokyo residents have certainly returned from their long New Year weekend and the year-end sale was in full force with discounts up to as much as 80 percent in some of the shops.
