After lunch, we walked across to the Warung Kelapa for "Readings" by Kunal Basu, Linda Watanabe McFerrin, Simone Lazaroo , Singaporean O Thiam Chin and Malaysian Uthaya Sankar. Uthaya Sankar's short story 'the Cat' was clever and funny and stole the crowd's attention. We also met up and got to know another Malaysian writer/participant of the Festival, Sharon Bakar, who happened to be the sister-in-law of pakdokter's old friend, Zahari Ngah, a psychoanalyst who now works and resides in London.
What a small world.....
