Plaza del Fontan derived its name from a natural spring that once flooded the area. Today it is a bustling market place - an open air market selling fresh fruits and vegetables and clothings and an indoor market which took away part of the school that belonged to the Jesuits St Matias whose chirch still remains today. This is also a place fro cider and food
