Pakdokter received so many birthday greetings on pakdokter's facebook page today! This social networking system is such that it is programmed to remind all of pakdokter's facebook friends of pakdokter's birthday. Such is the world today....
Another year lived, another year less to go..... That is what the birthday milestone is all about.
Sadly, the past one month or so 3 persons in pakdokter's small social cirlce have passed on. First was pakdokter's golfing colleague, KK Nyam, a Royal Lake Club Golf Section committe member, whose sudden departure pakdokter had blogged here. Then 3 weeks ago was pakdokter's own eldest sister. And just last Saturday, Datuk Nordin Baharuddin, ( formerly of Earnst & Young Malaysia) had succumbed to a recently discovered leukemia. Datuk Nordin used to play with pakdokter in the many monthly medals and other competitions at the RSGC until his illness a few months ago. His son, Effendy, now quite regularly plays with pakdokter in the Sunday morning group. To Effendy and family, pakdokter wishes to record pakdokter's deepest condolence.

Pakdokter had wanted a quiet birthday but pakdokter's partner had organised a 'surprise' birthday dinner at the 'Grill' of a local hotel. Thank you to pakdokter's partner and to the few friends who came and lifted pakdokter's spirit. And pakdokter must admit that pakdokter's children were dearly missed....
Pakdokter is very grateful for all the blessed years of good health and fortune that pakdokter has had and could not have asked for more....
