The Road to Chiangmai/Fedex 2014 Games were to be played from Thursday 16th Oct to Saturday 18th Oct. Half the group went a day earlier so that they could be adequately rested before the competition. Tokwan W Azfar went on the early morning AirAsia direct flight from KLIA2 to Chiangmai and was warmly welcomed by Kun Surapat - our ground handling agent who happened to be also a keen golfer , an architect who own and operate a boutique hotel in Chiangmai Old Town.
A larger group left on the afternoon AirAsia flight and arrived into Chiangmai at about 4 pm. We were also welcomed and garlanded upon arrival by pretty girls in lovely traditional costumes. From the airport some of us checked-in at Kun Surapat"s Estia Boutique Hotel and the others to the Mercure Chiangmai Hotel.
