Dinner at Wilawan Sombondee Seefood Restaurant

It rained quite a bit in the evening which made our return to the hotel from Lakewood a very long journey. Traffic in downtown Bangkok was atrocious! We made it bank to our hotel in almost 4 hours.

Pakdokter and partner braved the rain, jumped into a tuk-tuk and asked to be sent to the highly-recommended SomBon Seafood. However our tuk-tuk driver who was kind of friendly told us he had a better place nearby which would not be as costly as the one we asked for.

We ordered 4 dishes - a lobster dish grilled in ginger and garlic, some steamed mussels in Thai herbs, scallops with kai lan in oyster sauce and a plate of fried rice. In the end it did not turn out much cheaper as promised by our tuk-tuk driver.

We also made him wait to take us back to the hotel and on the way home we stopped at a spa for 2 hours of aromatherapy massage.
