Sunny Edinburgh....

15th August 2009

We flew out of London from the London City Airport, a small airport just outside of the Docklands, which cost us GBP 40 by taxi from Bayswater. The flight on BA took about 1 hour or so to reach Edinburgh and a taxi which cost us another GBP 20 took us to the door-step of our daughter's studio at Castle Terrace in downtown Edinburgh.
We must have brought along the sun to Edinburgh. It was warm and sunny and what a nice feeling it was to meet up with Raena, our daughter, again, after our last family reunion during the Christmas and New Year holidays of 2008.
From Raena's doorstep, the Edinburgh Castle stood proudly in front of us and the weekly Saturday Farmer's Market was taking place at the Castle terrace carpark. Pakdokter was happy to share this little studio with Raena. The flat was just a walking distance away from the Royal Mile and Grassmarket, where all the Festival activities took place.
Furthermore there were so many restaurants nearby to pick from.
