The Keio University and the Tokyo Tower...

After a long and tiring day out to Nikko, the next day was a sleep-in until late afternoon when pakdokter and family decided to visit the landmark Tokyo Tower.
Walking towards the landmark Tokyo Tower, pakdokter passed by the Keio University, one of Japan's premier and highly-ranked university. The campus looked too pretty to be given a miss. So we took a side-track to view the university campus which was smack in downtown Tokyo.

From the university, it was just a short walk to the Tokyo Tower. Built using light-weight steel of 4000 tons, the tower rose to a height of 333 metres. In comparison, a similar steel tower in Paris, the Eiffel Tower stood at 320 metres but weigh 7000 tons.

The Tokyo Tower was built in 1958. It is a telecommunication tower. One can go up to the Main Observatory Deck at 150 metres high with a fee of 820 yen ( about RM25) for a bird's eye view of the city.
