We had been walking since 9am after leaving our luggage at Novotel Les Halles and was feeling tired, thirsty and hungry. Leaving the Place de la Concorde at around 1 pm we walked through the first part of the Champs Elysee which is an area more like a park along which we discovered this restaurant which we decided to check out and stop for lunch. It turned out that this is a Michelin-starred restaurant which doubles up as a cooking school as well. We were lucky to be able to get a table without any reservation.
starter - a salad of 5 different types of chilled tomatoes
main course - fillet of fish on a bed of diced cucumber, pepper, tomato etc
Verdict - a typical French haute cuisine.
