There are many bridges that span across the River Siene. ( I am not sure how many exactly). Walking from our hotel we passed at least 3 bridges - the two that pakdokter can remember was the Ponte de Neuf ( the 9th Bridge) and the Ponte della Artes ( Bridge of the Artists). The Ponte della Artes is a pedestrian bridge. Visitors and lovers who came to this bridge over the years had left padlocks on the chains along the bridge - probably believing this will give them luck to come back to Paris in future ( just like those who threw coins into the Fontana de Trevi in Rome).

There were not that many tourists yet that morning. No artists at all despite this being the bridge of the artists - perhaps they would be here during the weekend. Pakdokter managed to steal a shot of this cross-dressing guy with hairy legs wearing a red bikini and a wig but with a healthy crop of beard doing a photo-shoot of some sort on the bridge.
