The Saint Barbary Cathedral....

Another highlight of the visit to Kutna Hora was the Saint Barbary Church or Cathedral. Kutna Hura was a rich mining town. It has silver, copper and other mineral resources which made it a rich region of Bohemia. Saint Barbary is the paron saint of the miners. The wealth derived from the mining activity was invested into the construction of this lovely church. Some of the architects involved in the construction of this church were also involved in the construction of the St Vitus Cathedral in Prague.
