As we arrived at the Lobo Wildlife Lodge when it was already dark at around 8 pm the night before, we only realised the next morning that the Lodge had a large swimming pool on an elevated deck overlooking the sprawling savanna.
After breakfast, we left the lodge to begin our exploration of the Serengeti. Just about 50 metres out of the Lodge's gate, a landrover ahead of us had already spotted a pair of lions resting on a rocky outcrop but at quite a distance away. We could only have a good look of the lions with our binoculars.
