We left Kilimanjaro Airport at around 10 am, took about half an hour to Arusha City and another almost 2 hours before we stopped for lunch at an R&R type ofan outlet by the highway after passing through the 'mosquito village' and Lake Manyara.
Lunch was prepared by a hotel in Arusha City. Almost all the other safari tourists also stopped here for the packed lunch. Our lunch consisted of a fried chicken, a chicken sandwich, a hard-boiled egg, a packet of roasted cashew nuts, an apple, a box of apple juice and a bottle of mineral water. The lunch stop also enabled u to use the relatively clean toilet as well as look at some of the local crafts and arts on display at the tourist shop there.
