at the Tokyo Shinagawa train station
Shirakawa-go is a Unesco World Heritage site - an old Japanese village - located on the Japanese Alps to the west of Nagoya. Rastam took Friday off from work to take us for a 3-day weekend at this village. We took the shinkansen from Tokyo to Nagoya and from Nagoya we hopped on to the Express Bus to Shirakawa-go. The bullet train took about 2 hours or less to Nagoya and the bus ride was for another 3 hours up the mountain.
