Pakdokter partnered Ahmad Khalid (11) on Sunday against a young Thai pair of Charn Chanvipava (18) and Dilokpol Sundaravej(17). These two Thai golfers played very well, always reaching the green 'regulation on'. It was left to pakdokter to take advantage of the many strokes to keep the match going.
We were even throughout the match until the last 3 or 4 holes when the Thais wrapped up the game and got 2 points for their club. The Thais won the game on Sunday with the same margin as RSGC's victory on Saturday - so the two clubs shared the Seladang Cup for the year. But the Thais trounced RSGC again on Sunday to convincingly take home the Erawan Cup.
Dilokpol is a businessman developing a resort on an island off Phuket. From his descriptions the island would very likely turn out like YTL's Pangkor Laut. Each of his 'villas' costs about USD 4 millions!
We small-talked about politics and he thinks the 'red-shirts' will win the coming Thai election - but he qualified that all politicians are the same - whatever that means.........
