Restaurant Chandi at Seminyak...

Pakdokter's partner, who is a keen photographer, hired a car and a driver, to explore the 'off the beaten tracks' of this beautiful island of Bali for her photo expedition. Hopefully all her pictures will be posted on her blog in due time.

As we still had the car for the night, we decided to look for a restaurant at the upmarket Seminyak district for dinner. We passed by Restaurant Chandi and stopped there. It was fully booked and we had to until a table was available. And it turned out to be a good choice. Later that night, pakdokter's partner discovered over the internet that Restaurant Chandi was listed as 'second best' amongst the 80 rated restaurants in Bali.

the appetiser of thinly-sliced deep-fried 'tempe'

went down well with our jug of 'sangria'....

we shared two different types of salad dishes....

the 'tempe' appetiser...

pan-fried scallop salad...

a fruit salad with 'tempe'..

pakdokter's main dish of tenderloin steak

on a hot-stone grill...

it was tender and sweet....

a 'bayam' and caramelised leeks to accompany the steak..

pakdokter's partner's salmon dish....

and pakRosliKhan's tuna steak...

the three of us were quite full after the main dish

and decided to share a big plate of different dessert selection...
