Back to Ginza.....

After going around the Tokyo Midtown, we decided to go back to Ginza for more shopping and finally dinner at one of the restaurants there. The major department stores in Ginza, the Mitsukoshi, Matsuya, Printemps etc etc have re-opened and these places were teeming with shoppers hunting for a bargain. Looking at the crowd buying up items on sale at these stores, pakdokter could not believe that Japan was in a state of deflation. According to Rastam, the government servants were given a good bonus for the year end as a means of boosting the domestic consumer economy. Looking at the crowds in all the stores, pakdokter believed this measure would show up in good domestic consumption numbers in the next quarterly report.
