The Final Game in the Ryder Cup match was an individual matchplay between 13 players from each team. As reported earlier Team Estia led 5-2 on Day 1 in the 4-ball-better-ball format but Team Mercure came back with a similar 5-2 margin on Day 2. So today's game would be a closely fought match.
Players were matched so that they were of nearly the same handicaps.
Pakdokter (hcap 22) was matched to play pakMid (hcap 24). It was indeed an evenly matched game conducted in a most cordial and friendly manner. PakMid resorted to all kinds of tricks when he was3 down going into the 2nd Nine. Pakdokter's caddy was given 4+1 cans of Chang beer to quench her thirst and as a result she gave pakdokter all the wrong putting lines. And whatever pakMid's charm it was - pakdokter's caddy even gave pakMid a bunch of grapes to make him more energetic to last the 18 holes.
In the end pakdokter managed to win the game only at the last hole and thus contributing 1 point to Team Estia.
Unfortunately Team Mercure managed to squeeze a victory by scoring 7 points against 6 points.
