A lobster pasta to our liking...

Since there were so many seafood restaurants just next to the hotel, pakdokter decided not to let miss the chance of having a full year 'dose of cholesterol' to make up for year-long effort of reducing pakdokter's waist circumference which again seemed doomed to failure.
We tried another outfit along the many 'bagans' of the city's shoreline and got to know the friendly and 'motherly' Thai owner who took our orders and asked how we liked our meals to be cooked. She claimed that she is a 'farang' and does not eat 'spicey' food when we commented that we observed their dishes were not spicey as Thai food were normally.

these fresh and succulent oysters came from Surat in Southern Thailand...
served with crispy ?pucuk paku, deep fried garlic,
chunks of fresh garlic, cili padi and sambal...

cheese toasts with chili padi?...

specially ordered lobster pasta...
the fresh lobster meat was dug out into chunks....
cooked with garlic, olive oil and tomato puree
and pakdokter suggested fresh basil added for a Thai touch....
the meal and drinks came to only 1800 bahts for the two of us....
