Danang Beach

Danang is located at the border of what used to be the North and South Vietnams. A major US Army base was located here as the first line of defense against incursions by the North Vietnamese. Remains of the US Army air base could still be seen on the way from the city to the golf courses.

Danang also has a great stretch of seafront with white sandy beaches washed by the South China Sea. The China Beach was a famous R&R destination for the US soldiers during the Vietnam war.

After our golf game at the Danang Golf Club, we were taken to a seafood restaurant on the China beach. Danang lacked 'halal-syariah-compliant' restaurants to cater to our needs. So we had to make do with seafood restaurants mostly.
