The taxi we booked for 3 hours for the visit to Hoi An cost us 600,000 VND ( RM90). It took about 30 minutes to reach Hoi An from Danang downtown to Hoi An - driving across the han River on the dragon Bridge, past the China Beach, later past the Danang Golf Course and the Montgomerie Links before turning right and inland past some rice-paddies towards Hoi An.
We reached Hoi An just before sunset and below are more pictures taken in the old town as it got darker. Our taxi waited for us at a designated taxi and bus stands at the edge of the old town.
There are several temples, old historical residences and museums that could be visited on a 2-day ticket costing 100000VND which entitled you to entries into 5 of them. Due to lack of time we only managed to utilise this ticket for entry into one of the several sites.
