Montgomerie Links Golf Course, Danang

The Montgomerie Links Golf Course is located just about a kilometre further south of the Danang Golf Course where we played our first game. These golf courses are located along the coastal seaside highway going down to Hoi An. Many 5-star seaside resorts like the Hyatt Regency, Furama etc are located along this scenic stretch.

The Montgomerie Links Course as its name implies was designed by another famous golfer, Colin Montgomerie. The modern clubhouse has the shame features as Greg Norman's Danang Golf Course ( both were probably designed by the same architect?). Both golf courses also shared similar 'links course' features - the Montgomerie Links is somewhat longer with wider fairways than the Greg Norman designed Danang Golf Course.

Pakdokter's handicap for the day was generously adjusted to 26 from 22 due to the poor scores at the Danang Golf Course and naturally came home with a slightly better score of 32 stableford points. The biggest challenge for pakdokter was the extremely hot weather with very little breeze to cool us. It was very tiring to play in such extreme heat. The green speed at this course was equally fast as at the Danang Golf Course.
