After a successful golf tour of Surabaya earlier this year, the Staroba Golf Club ventured out to a new golfing destination early this month. It was a timely visit as AirAsia will be terminating its direct flight to this destination as of June ( reportedly due to the high charges at the new Danang Airport)
A group of 16 golfers, some with their accompanying spouses joined this group. The flight from the LCCT to Danang took slightly more than 2 hours.
We arrived late afternoon and checked in at the Green Plaza Hotel overlooking the Han River which flows through the centre of the city. The river esplanade has wide walkways along which many locals exercise and jog in the morning. Several bridges were built across the Han River and at night the bridges were lighted with changing colours every few minutes.
