Like Pattaya, pakdokter's reading about Hua Hin revealed that it does not have much 'tourist sites' to visit. But the ever resourceful partner of pakdokter hired a taxi and ventured out to Petchaburi, about one hour away from Hua Hin to visit this hilltop complex of an old Royal Palace and a cluster of Buddhist temples. The place was probably only known by the locals as there were hardly any foreign visitors at the place. One has to take a 'cable car-funicular train' up the hill before reaching the complex. Pakdokter has posted some of the pictures of the site taken by pakdokter's partner.
Hua Hin is also the home of 'factory outlet malls'. During the drive from Bangkok to Hua Hin, pakdokter counted at least three big factory outlet malls along the highway. These should be of interest to Malaysian 'shopaholics'.
South of Hua Hin, there is an apparently pretty water-fall with tracks for mountaineering. Some islands down south are also accessible from Hua Hin. Otherwise, in Hua Hin town itself, there are countless numbers of 'tailor shops' run by Indians, Nepalese and Burmese. Your made-to-fit suit can be ready within 24 hours!

Such appealing pics, so mysterious and mesmerizing…I will definitely visit all these places and have a wonderful vacation at one of the beautiful Hua Hin hotels.
