Cork: The Lee River Hotel

Friday, 5th August 2011
We finished our golf at the Killarney Golf and Fishing Club at just before 12 noon and rushed back to have a wash at the Castlerosse Resort after which we checked out and drove to our next destination, Cork. Cork was just about 100 km or so from Killarney, in the south-easterly direction. The drive was easy with the clear sign-posted motorway. We only needed the aid of the SatNav gadget once we got to Cork to help us find our hotel, the Lee River Hotel.
Cork was a surprisingly beautiful town with rows and rows of houses along lanes located on the slopes of hills. The Lee River cut through the town and our hotel sat right by the side of the river. From our hotel room, pakdokter could not stop admiring the lovely panorama of this university town......
