A Round of Golf at The CastleRosse Golf Course

Wednesday, 3rd August 2011
Pakdokter and Dean left the ladies in town whilst we went back to our resort to play a late afternoon round of golf at the CastleRosse Golf Course. It was a 9-hole walking course mostly flat except for 2 or 3 holes where the terrain was somewhat hilly. However in the cold weather of 15 degrees celcius, we did not feel as tired as we would have been when we played at home. The course was not busy and we could play at our own pace.
Green fee for hotel guest was only 10 Euro each and another 3 Euro for a trolley.
hole 1 par 3....Dean easily scored a par
pakdokter shot from the tee caught the front bunker
and setttled for a bogey.
the long par-5 No 2...

farmlands bordering the golf course als had treks
for the horse-riders....
the lake in front of the resort is where the
Killarney Golf and Fishing Club is located...

the rough was thick
the grass tough and made it difficult to hit out the ball...
