Pakdokter took Rastam and Raena out for dinner with Rastam's friend, Ms Tsuyano Ishihara, who had recommended that pakdokter try out the Japanese Restaurant - Gonpachi - located in the Ginza district. Tsuyano came from work, and Rastam, who normally works up to midnight!, took an early time-out from office to join us.
We tried out as many dishes on offer and had a plate of cold soba each for the carbo portion. Tsuyanois a vegetarian - so she did not share any of the meat dishes that we sampled. Pakdokter was impressed by the quality of the grilled foie gras served with thin slices of a very sweet strawberry on top. The desserts were also remarkable.....
