Chiang Rai Day 4 :Burma: A Burmese Temple

From the Shan Temple, we took the 'tuk tuk' once again for an uphill ride to a Burmese Buddhist temple. The Burmese temple differed from the Shan temple in design and structure. This temple is similar to the ones in Pagan/Bagan in South Myanmar whereby it is cone-shaped whereas the Shan temple is similar to the Thai temple design and structure.

this Buddhist calendar book
enables you to check out on what day you were born
it goes back to 100 years or so and
according to Buddhist teaching
one's temperament is influenced
by which day one is born
"according to the calendar pakdokter was born on Sunday
and this day is a day to make peace - ?one's temperament or
character is to be able to make peace?'
different day is represented by different meditational hand pose

pakdokter's partner was born on Monday, a day
to stop fighting?..........

the folks come to the temple and pray at the Buddha statues
which represent the day they were born
and pour and splashes water on the statues as a from of blessing?
the video below is pakdokter's partner releasing free some
sparrows from the bird cage
this is a common Buddhist practice for?....
