Day 3 ; The Park and the Black Dragon Pool.(2)...

Day 3: 28th June 2011

Below are more pictures of different parts of the Black Dragon Pool and Park. At some areas of the pool, bubbles of water could be seen coming up to the surface from within the ground which could be seen through the crystal clear water. The local folks used to believe that these bubbles were from the 'breathing' of the 'Dragon' that lived in the pool.

see the reflection on the clear water surface....
a photographer's and artist's delight...

another interesting notice...

As pakdokter's partner and travelling companion took quite a long time exercising their photographic skills, pakdokter had ample time to warm up to Ms Beautiful Goose. As she had earlier claimed she belonged to the Naxi community and came from a once very rich local family. However during the cultural revolution, all their family assets became state property, her grandmother was executed by the communists and some uncles and aunts had emigrated to Taiwan. Ms Beautiful Goose spoke very good English, much better than the Han Chinese Ms Liu in Kunming. She was knowledgeable and informed and pakdokter could detect a degree of bitterness at what befell upon her family following the Communist revolution......
