Day 7 : The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Golf and Country Club...

Day 7: 2nd July 2011

Just a km away from the theatre where the 'Mountain Show' was performed - pakdokter spotted the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Golf Club. As it was past luch time - we decided to go there as we were confident we would get a more acceptable spread of dishes from their menu.

The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Golf Course claims to be the highest golf course in the world - at 3300 metres ( 10,000 feet) above sea level. The existing 18-holes measure a total of 8548 yards from the golden tee box and 7790 yards from the blue tee box. All the par-5s measure longer than 600 yards from the blue tee box. The lighter air would probably make the golf ball go further than at lower levels. Another 18 holes are being constructed and expensive villas lined some of the long fairways.

For now, this golf course looked not too busy probably because access to Lijiang is not that easy yet.
